You went first

We chose Germany. A PhD for you, a new life for all of us. In October you flew ahead to Kaiserslautern to make a home for us to land in.

Alexus,

God knew exactly what He was doing when He put you in my life. I believe that more now than I did a year ago.

A year ago tonight we said "I do," and I'd do it all over again.

This year was a lot. Five kids, a whole new family, and now you're in Germany going first so the rest of us can follow. I'm proud of you. I mean that.

I know it's hard over there by yourself. I pray for you every day. For your job, your PhD, your peace, and for us. God's been faithful to us this whole year and He's not stopping now.

"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."Ecclesiastes 4:12

That's us. You, me, and God.

The kids miss you. I miss you more. This is just a season, and we'll be together soon.

Happy anniversary, Mrs. Brooks. I love you.
